We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our site near Bury St Edmunds. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out regular Predictive Maintenance (PPM) to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal plant performance.
- React to breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with the site planner to manage long-term repairs and ensure short-term fixes meet production demands.
- Ensure all work complies with Electricity at Work regulations and meets safety standards.
- Perform regular maintenance on boilers, pressure systems, and other critical equipment.
- Record all works carried out in the daily maintenance log and Assets Master System.
- Issue work permits to site contractors and obtain relevant isolation certificates.
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, preferably with a completed apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G level 3 in maintenance engineering, including electrical engineering. Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential. You should have a good understanding of health and safety, continuous improvement techniques, and strong IT skills.
