Job Title: Finance Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Finance Director to join our Senior Management Team at Peacocks. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance, Loss Prevention & Retail Support team to deliver timely and accurate financial data to the GFD and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement robust financial systems and processes to support current activities and future growth.
  • Ensure effective cash management and forecasting to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Support the development of all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control.
  • Ensure period financial information, budgeting, and forecasting processes are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work with the CEO and SMT to ensure accuracy and transparency of financial forecasting.
  • Contribute to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business.
  • Work with senior teams to grow the business and formulate strategies to future-proof the company.
Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with 10+ years post-qualification experience in a commercial environment.
  • Significant experience of working in a retail or FMCG business is an advantage.
  • Extensive executive-level strategic and financial experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of supporting excellent operational and trading performance.
  • Capacity for pushing through change and achieving desired results.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and people-management skills.
  • Excellent business and analytical skills with a high degree of intelligence and creativity.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders.
