Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited in Sheffield, UK.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with extensive post-graduate experience, Dysphagia accreditation, and expertise in multi-disciplinary working.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to work as part of our acute team, providing specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to individuals with communication and/or swallowing problems.

About the Role
  • To conduct comprehensive assessments and develop clear care plans based on best practice, collaborating with healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • To maintain and develop specialist skills and knowledge through relevant training and development opportunities.
  • To provide advice and training to other professionals, patients, carers, and families regarding the management and care of patients with communication disorders and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties.
  • To adapt practice to meet individual patient circumstances and supervise the work of assistants and volunteers as required.
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who:

  • Holds a relevant professional qualification (1st degree level or equivalent).
  • Is registered with the Health Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Has extensive post-graduate experience, including Dysphagia accreditation and expertise in multi-disciplinary working.
