The successful candidate for this ACCOUNTING AND TREASURY EXECUTIVE role at Empirical Search Limited will be responsible for supporting the treasury team in developing and maintaining treasury systems, processes, reporting, cash management & forecast, and risk management. With an estimated salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, this opportunity presents a chance to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit daily bank and cash position reports to the Treasury Management System (TMS), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage excess funds through strategic placement in money markets deposits and fixed-term investments.
  • Collaborate with the treasury team to develop and implement financial risk management strategies, adhering to agreed risk appetite and policies.
  • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive short-term liquidity forecast, integrating inputs from across Finance and the business.
  • Support the implementation of a new Treasury Management System (TMS), ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Manage bank mandate, payment systems, and access rights to treasury systems, maintaining efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all KYC requirements and routine bank queries or requests, fostering strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Assist in maintaining an efficient bank and bank account structure across the group, driving cost savings and improving efficiency.
  • Prepare and present treasury reports to internal stakeholders, the banking group, shareholders, and third parties, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Raise and monitor purchase orders for Treasury & Insurance related invoices, ensuring timely settlement and minimizing administrative burdens.
  • Develop engaging dashboard reporting for the CFO and Treasury Committee, enhancing decision-making capabilities.
  • Manage internal and external audit workstreams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Offer expert Treasury advice to internal stakeholders, providing guidance on complex financial matters.
  • Support the Head of Treasury with the annual Insurance renewal program, ensuring smooth execution and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Treasury & Insurance on other projects and ad-hoc work, applying expertise and judgment to drive success.
Requirements:
  • Hold a professional accountancy qualification (Chartered Accountant or similar) and/or Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT).
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a corporate treasury function.
