Job Summary
Valeo Foods is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Stores Person to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food manufacturing warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock and raw materials, ensuring accurate inventory management and compliance with quality control standards.
- Prepare and pack products for dispatch according to customer orders, utilizing efficient packaging techniques to minimize waste and optimize shipping.
- Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or overstock, and report discrepancies to management to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and dispatch teams to ensure seamless communication and timely deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- FLT license (training provided if necessary).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Shifts: 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm.
- Salary: £23,166 per annum.
