About the Role

Mphasis seeks a highly skilled Vendor Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with vendors and suppliers on behalf of the organization.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. This role is pivotal in promoting collaboration and driving operational efficiency between the company and its vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and make recommendations to management based on cost, quality, and service level agreements.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
  • Establish and track vendor performance metrics, such as delivery timelines, quality of goods or services, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement strategies, as necessary.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in vendor relationship management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with contract negotiation and management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD)
