3D Artist Job Description

The role of the 3D Unreal Artist at The Boundary involves leveraging the latest gaming technology to create immersive, interactive real-time visualisations of unbuilt architecture, master plans, and city-scape digital twins for clients in the Real Estate, Hospitality, eCommerce, and Digital Twin sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and produce captivating real-time visualisations from client-supplied materials
  • Collaborate with other artists to develop and refine content
  • Utilise Unreal Engine to achieve photorealistic, interactive results
  • Adapt and incorporate content based on feedback
  • Develop personal learning and development plans, recording progress
  • Prepare learning materials for regular showcase sessions
  • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Contribute to and manage a library of assets
  • Lead on one project and work on multiple others
  • Engage in correspondence with clients and design teams
  • Own and lead projects
  • Work with Project Managers to assist with project resourcing
  • Offer design expertise and insight when required
  • Establish lighting setups and compositions
  • Create real-time 3D assets
Requirements
  • Creative eye for detail and composition
  • Desire to transition to real-time pipeline using Unreal Engine
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and a basic understanding of the Architecture industry
  • Self-motivation with a desire to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A positive team player
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies and tools quickly
  • Experience with large-scale projects (masterplans or digital twins) is advantageous
  • Architecture visualisation experience using 3dsMax, V-ray, and/or Corona is desirable
  • Experience in Houdini and Unreal Blueprints would be beneficial
