Job Description
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual to join our Network Management Team as a Highway Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders, Order extensions, and Events Orders, ensuring the safe facilitation of temporary works and events on the highway. You will also provide administrative support for the delivery of the council's network management responsibilities, undertaking regular and ad-hoc tasks with efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders, Order extensions, and Events Orders.
  • Provide business support administration for the delivery of the council's network management responsibilities.
  • Undertake regular and ad-hoc tasks with efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A good standard of education, including English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent). OR demonstratable experience as outlined in the Job specification.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with good numeracy skills. Be able to work within set timescales and prioritise workload.
  • Be willing to be flexible, learn, and undertake a variety of different tasks, to develop yourself and to train others.
  • Administrative experience covering a range of tasks such as word processing, filing, photocopying, taking and relaying messages, and data entry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, or another email/internet package, is required.
  • Skilful in teamwork and be able to build strong relationships.
