About the Role

Binnies, a RSK Group company, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical direction and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring that all electrical designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring that all electrical designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence.
  • Design Review: Review and check electrical design deliverables produced by other engineers to ensure that they meet current legislation and standards.
  • Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge, ensuring that they are equipped to take on more senior roles.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and project teams to ensure that electrical designs meet the needs of the project.
  • Quality Management: Manage quality through the design workflow review, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Sustainability: Drive sustainability and low-carbon designs, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Education: Engineering degree or equivalent, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience: Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects.
  • Chartered Status: Chartered status or working towards Chartered status, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire junior engineers to achieve their best.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
