About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our EMEALA team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for creating growth in the colocation vertical through building relationships with specific accounts or opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Maximize account penetration of assigned accounts by serving the full spectrum of Fire Suppression solutions needed, leveraging Johnson Controls' broad portfolio of offerings.
- Seek to establish Johnson Controls as the preferred supplier of Fire Suppression equipment with consulting engineers, design build contractors, and colocation operators.
- Ensure customer retention and growth of assigned accounts.
Your Approach
You will build partnerships with assigned colocation customers and consulting engineers to earn basis of design (BOD), influence specifications, and lead account and project strategies to grow our account share.
You will develop and continually refine account management plans to achieve success. This will involve regular face-to-face contact with key customers to develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and win-win-win relationships.
You will be a thought leader in Fire Suppression solutions for colocation data centres, fostering a team mentality within internal departments and communicating effectively to create internal alignment.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving Fire Suppression sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Ability to adapt and flex while working on influencing and guiding customers with a consultative approach.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment as an individual contributor.
- Fluent language skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling Fire Suppression solutions within the data centre/colocation industry.
- An existing network of relationships within the data centres industry.
- Prior experience with software solutions such as Salesforce and Altify.
