Ultimate Series Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultimate Series Production Specialist to join our team at McLaren Automotive Ltd.
About the Role:
- To collaborate with the Launch Team to ensure a successful production launch of the new Ultimate series models, including derivatives and model year updates, while meeting all quality, cost, and volume objectives.
- To oversee the production of Ultimate series vehicles to achieve the required build volumes and support any other business needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- To understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the construction, painting or assembling of vehicles.
- To ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are performed to the required quality standards.
- To ensure that all operations are completed to the required timescale.
- To work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles being produced.
- To ensure the work area is clean, tidy and orderly at all times in line with brand expectations.
- To maintain a safe working environment for yourself and other team members, participating in safety activities as requested.
- To participate in continuous improvement activities as requested.
- To assist in the development and launch into production of future McLaren Automotive vehicle platforms and variants.
- To contribute to the development of vehicle assembly processes for all assembly disciplines.
- To support with the development and specification of bespoke assembly tool and fixture equipment.
- To identify and specify generic hand tool requirements for both prototype and production build phases.
- To provide first-hand support with the generation of vehicle build concerns, documentation of and relevant root cause analysis.
- To collaborate with assembly of prototype vehicles during the relevant prototype and development build phase.
- To provide direct support for the launch of new vehicle and variants into production.
- To assist in training new build technicians to ensure a smooth transition into series manufacturing.
About You:
- Minimum Level 2/3 Diploma in Light Vehicle maintenance and/or Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System repair and replacement.
- Prototype build activity experience.
- Vehicle production experience.
- Build concern reporting.
- Quality measurement systems, could include Faro arm usage.
- Working to pre-set time schedules.
- Process and product maturation.
- Collaborating and Working in small teams.
- Experience in the field of production vehicle manufacturing.
