About the Role

As an Environmental, Health and Safety Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the communities we serve. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies across our clean energy portfolio, including the identification of areas of improvement and the investigation of incidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce HSE standards, providing expert advice and guidance to the team.
  • Plan and deliver audits and inspections in compliance with national, group, and company standards.
  • Identify areas of improvement using statistical data and advise line managers to implement necessary changes.
  • Promptly investigate events at the correct level, identifying key lessons learned, and promulgating them.
  • Write and circulate reports on non-compliance, discussing with local management, and identifying areas requiring improvement.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in a similar role within the nuclear or highly regulated industry.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Knowledge and application of ISO14001, BS:OHSAS 18001/ISO45001.
  • Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools.
  • Approved Auditor qualification or demonstrable skills and track record.

Compensation:

  • An estimated annual salary of £65,000 - £85,000 depending on experience.
