Job Title: Business Development Manager

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for the travel industry? Do you have a proven track record of developing and growing sales teams? We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing our presence within the travel agency community in Scotland. You will work closely with our sales teams to develop and deliver our UK travel community strategy, build strong relationships with key travel agents, and identify and win new business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow our presence within the travel agency community in Scotland
  • Work with sales teams to develop and deliver our UK travel community strategy
  • Build strong relationships with key travel agents
  • Identify and win new business
  • Organize and host educational trips, attend industry events and forums in the UK and abroad
  • Provide market feedback and intelligence to senior management team
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand
  • Negotiate commission levels with agents in accordance with management guidance
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5 years' experience within the travel industry and ideally at least two within agency sales/trade sales. You will need to have existing relationships and contacts in the region and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
