About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled interpreter to join our team at Language Empire. As a freelance translator, you will provide professional interpreting services to public and private sector clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
