AD Finance is currently recruiting for a Tax Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for all of the company's tax affairs, including Value Added Tax (VAT) and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct VAT analysis and returns, ensuring timely and efficient payments
  • Reconcile VAT on the balance sheet to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate with external parties and HMRC to resolve queries and discrepancies
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation, implementing changes as required and communicating them to the team
  • Ensure VAT codes are accurate and consistently applied across the organization
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system updates

The ideal candidate will be a technically skilled, fully qualified accountant (ACA/CTA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience managing VAT in a previous role. Strong communication skills are essential for effective internal and external collaboration. Proficiency in SAP or similar systems and advanced Excel/Power BI skills are desirable but not mandatory.
