Job Summary:

The Birmingham LGBT Centre is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our community sexual health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting a team of volunteers to enhance the delivery of our services for the LGBTQ+ community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers to carry out vital supporting roles for the organisation.
  • Coordinate volunteering activities to support and enhance the delivery of our services.
  • Work closely with the Sexual Health Services Manager to ensure the effective management of the volunteer team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build capacity within the sexual health service and other Birmingham LGBT services.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience of working with volunteers or in a similar role.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £30,845 per annum (pro rata) for 18.5 hours per week.
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • 25 days annual leave per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
  • A permanent contract.
