Remote DevOps Engineer

Salary: 35,000 - 70,000 GBP per year

At DevOps Pro Europe 2022, we are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud platforms and services using automation and coding.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of cloud strategy to best serve the goals of the business.
  2. Ensure design and execution are aligned and working to best practices around infrastructure and security.
  3. Design and implement cloud platforms and services using automation and coding.
  4. Work with the team on critical analysis and problem solving for operational problems in the platform.
  5. Continuously monitor and undertake security analysis of the platform using automated tools.
  6. Patch and maintain our Windows estate while overseeing the move to Linux-based operating systems as standard for compute, data, and ancillary services.
  7. Be part of the out-of-hours support rota in support of the services your team owns and manages.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrable experience in an operational role with the Azure cloud platform as an engineer or in another related technical cloud-focused role.
  2. Experience working with Microsoft Azure with knowledge of cloud-native services and best practices for working with technology.
  3. An understanding of technologies that underpin a DevOps approach to cloud migration and management, including Infrastructure-as-Code, Configuration-as-Code, Containerization and Orchestration, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Test Automation.
  4. Excellent understanding of networking principles.
