We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. This role will involve providing administrative support to our financial planning practice, ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process post-sale administration, including data entry and client file maintenance.
  • Prepare and gather information for complex cases, including CETVs, illustrations, and policy information checklists.
  • Assist with new business and review case administration, including submission of applications to providers.
  • Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide administrative support to paraplanners and other team members as needed.
  • Occasionally assist with basic report writing and client liaison.
  • Assist with general administration duties and mentor colleagues to develop specialist administration skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a financial planning environment.
  • GCSE English & Math's (C or above).
  • Understanding of the financial planning process, including MIFID & GDPR.
  • Experience dealing with platform providers Prudential, Aegon Arc, OMW, Fidelity, Elevate.
  • Working knowledge of intelligent office or a similar back office system.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer focus and complaint handling skills.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to DB Pensions and Pension Transfer administration.
  • Working towards industry-recognised exams, Level 4 (CII or LIBF).
