Bluestream People is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at the forefront of space innovation. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with leading players in the space industry to support groundbreaking projects in Space Robotics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical interface to customers and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Capture, derive, and manage engineering requirements, driving innovation and efficiency in our projects.
  • Develop innovative solutions and analyze system performance, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in space exploration.
  • Oversee engineering disciplines during design, integration, and testing, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Plan and conduct test campaigns, troubleshoot hardware/software, and analyze test data, driving continuous improvement and learning.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of complex systems.
  • Experience with optics, optical sensors, and opto-mechanical assemblies, with a strong understanding of their applications in space robotics.
  • Familiarity with formal configuration control and environmental testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience with Zemax, OpticStudio, or similar software, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
  • Programming skills in Python, Visual Basic, MATLAB/C, or C++, with a strong focus on software development and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing, assembly, and testing, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing process.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
