We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team at Mitie. As a Catering Assistant, your main duties will involve the preparation and maintenance of dining and service areas. This includes tasks such as setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment, as well as ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serving food in correct portions
  • Washing dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment
  • Daily cleaning of all catering areas
  • Cash collection and banking
  • Maintaining records and procedures
  • Undertaking key holding responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety certificates
  • Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
  • Strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
