Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in Lutterworth.
To ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted assistance, drive an electric forklift safely, and adhere to loading requirements, guarantee service delivery meets Iron Mountain standards and customer SLAs.
Duties and Functions:
- Timely search of boxes and pallet contents at addresses specified on request sheets based on request status.
- Execute all requests on the sheet in order and completion.
- Notify (in writing) the storage manager if a box is not found at the specified address during searching.
- Notify (in writing) the storage manager if a load is not found in the specified box during searching.
- Place removed cases neatly on a pallet in the designated location. Alternative parking requires agreement with the direct manager.
- Return boxes and cases on time in strict compliance with rack addresses specified on return sheets (for boxes) and barcodes (for cases).
- Inform the direct manager if it becomes impossible to return boxes (barcodes have fallen off, no barcode on the rack, occupied by another box, torn box).
- Inform the direct manager if it becomes impossible to return loads (barcode has fallen off, double barcode, incomplete load, torn load, no archive box to which the load should be returned).
- Carry out the loading of newly arrived boxes with documents (assigning box barcodes to rack barcodes using data loggers) in racks.
- Before performing duties, coordinate with the immediate supervisor regarding lifted boxes (indicate client boxes and quantities).
- Perform all duties using data loggers (scanners).
- Perform duties without a data logger only with the approval of the immediate supervisor.
- Before starting work with the data logger, register with the assigned user code given by the direct manager.
- It is strictly forbidden to register with another user's code.
- Inform the immediate supervisor about misplaced, damaged, or torn boxes and loads in the storage room.
- Before working with the electric forklift, fasten safety belts, work shoes, and a vest.
- Immediately inform the immediate supervisor if the electric forklift battery runs out or breaks down.
- Ensure client property is properly protected according to client specifications.
- Follow SOP processes at all times.
- Responsibility for the quality of work performed.
- Carry out own work aligned with operations department KPIs and established objectives.
- Adhere to Iron Mountain's policies, processes, instructions in accordance with global standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015).
- Ensure and demonstrate safe and efficient work practices, reporting unsafe conditions or behavior to the immediate supervisor.
