Salary: £32,000 Per Annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Buyer to join our Fashion and Homeware team in Liverpool. As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the product development process, working closely with the Buyer and Merchandiser to ensure the successful launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Buyer in sourcing, planning, and developing product ranges
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers to meet business requirements
- Conduct competitor research and provide detailed trends reports and market analysis
- Raise and progress purchase orders
- Monitor brand performance and sell-through rates against the Buying Plan and market activity
- Ensure comparative shopping and relevant documentation is up to date, highlighting any issues
- Manage and maintain a complete sample range and documentation, including colour, fit, and labelling approvals
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external departments, including suppliers
- Work with Trading Standards to maintain up-to-date departmental legal, quality, and RRP requirements
- Understand and fulfill the requirements of the advertising calendar
- Responsible for completion and accuracy of advertising briefs, photography, and store point of sales
- Demonstrate effective communication with the Buyer and Merchandiser on key issues
- Act as Buyer in their absence
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of fashion and homeware products and trends
- Experience in a similar role or relevant industry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
