Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Media Coordinator to join our team at Serco. As a Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, administering, and delivering all aspects of media provision, including family video messaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and administer family video services for HMP Doncaster and across the Justice and Immigration estate.
  • Support the delivery of media provision within the establishment, including covering events, photography, corporate communications, and associated post-production requirements.
  • Identify new training provision using high-quality learning materials, equipment, and resources to maximize productive and effective learning opportunities for trainees/students.
  • Ensure the delivery of a family video messaging service in accordance with LSS and GDPR.
  • Maintain accurate records, including trainee/student attendance, records of work, progression routes, and levels of achievement.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with trainees/students to create an appropriate environment for work/learning.
  • Manage resources within budget, carefully managing the use of equipment and resources, actively encouraging students to value them.
  • Work in accordance with all statutory, Home Office, company, and department requirements, including Health & Safety, Race Relations, Suicide Awareness, Security policies, and procedures.
  • Share in the responsibility for ensuring good standards of trainee/student behavior and taking appropriate disciplinary action as required.

Requirements:

  • DTTLS/Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Degree-level qualification in a subject specialism.
  • PTTLS qualification with a willingness to work towards CET level three.
  • Excellent IT skills, including using Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience of working in an environment that demands strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Recent experience and appropriate knowledge of delivering media-based activities.
  • Experience of a custodial environment is essential.
