About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join our team at Plexus Engineering Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic hardware for a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electronic digital circuitry for industrial, healthcare/life sciences, and aerospace/defense market sectors
  2. Develop proficiency with HDL languages (i.e. VHDL, SystemVerilog/UVM) to model hardware behavior
  3. Utilize design entry, synthesis, timing analysis/closure, and place and route using Vivado and/or Quartus
  4. Optimize FPGA design for power, area, and performance
  5. Implement fully self-checking test benches with directed and constrained random test cases
  6. Collaborate with a team of other digital, analog, software, mechanical, and system engineers to review and improve hardware designs
Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering is almost always required for this position. Bachelor's degrees in Electrical or Bio-medical related Engineering fields will be considered if strong Computer Engineering background can be shown
  2. Senior Level - 5+ years of industry-related experience is required
