About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of construction projects, including contractual and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with tier one or regional main contractors, with significant experience on school projects valued at £10,000,000 and above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets and costs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budgets, and forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
  • Proven experience working with tier one or regional main contractors.
  • Extensive experience working on school projects valued at £10,000,000 and above.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent is preferred.
