Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis. As a specialist in learning support, you will play a vital role in providing bespoke assistance to pupils with complex needs.

About the Role
  • Grade: Specialist Learning Support Assistant
  • Location: Primary school near Formby
  • Working Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week, term-time only

Responsibilities

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing one-to-one support to pupils with complex needs
  2. Assisting class teachers with classroom management and organisation
  3. Collaborating with teachers to develop tailored support plans
  4. Participating in staff training and professional development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Education, Psychology, or a core subject (2:1 or above)
  • Relevant classroom experience (welcome but not essential)
  • The ability to commute to the Formby/Crosby area
  • A genuine passion for pursuing a career in SEN
