Job Title: Family Safeguarding Therapist

4Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Family Safeguarding Therapist to join our client's team in Walsall.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering psychological and systemic interventions with families in Walsall. This will involve providing clinical provision, including assessment, formulation, and time-limited evidence-based interventions within the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop bespoke interventions for parents based on their mental health needs, informed by professional knowledge and practice skills relating to therapeutic intervention models.
  • Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation regarding evidence-based therapy to other professionals contributing directly to the formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
  • Have a clear understanding of the impact of parental mental health on children and young people, and be able to identify associated risks and impacts.
  • Work directly with parents and carers, providing help and support to create lasting change.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a recognised area of mental health interventions.
  • Experience delivering evidence-based interventions and a strong understanding of mental health practice.
  • Professional accreditation with a relevant organisation, such as BABCP or AFT.
  • Knowledge of governmental directives and current policies in relation to families and safeguarding.
  • Enhanced DBS.
