Child Protection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Protection Specialist to join our team at Wigan Council.
About the RoleThis challenging yet rewarding role involves working as part of a dedicated duty team, providing support to children, young people, and families in need. As a key member of our social work team, you will assess and intervene in complex cases, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with colleagues from other areas of Children's services.
Requirements- Social work qualification with up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- Knowledge of statutory and legislative frameworks
- Experience of a broad spectrum of services within social work
- Ability to work as part of a team and with colleagues from other areas
- Good time management skills
- A competitive salary of £42,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience
