Mechanical Project Lead

Mint Selection is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical aspects of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Gas Peaking project. The successful candidate will lead and manage mechanical construction activities, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include supervising mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning of BESS and Gas Peaking equipment, managing a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of project components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a proven track record of managing large-scale industrial or energy projects. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a mechanical supervisory role within the energy sector is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical work complies with relevant standards, codes, and specifications, and will conduct safety briefings and risk assessments to ensure personnel are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties safely. Regular progress reports will be submitted to the Project Manager.
