Pallet Truck Driver

Greenvale AP is a leading grower and packer of fresh potatoes, supplying major retailers and processors from its production facilities. The company is seeking a Pallet Truck Driver for its Despatch Department at the Duns site in the Scottish Borders. This role involves ensuring production has the necessary equipment to complete orders on time and safely moving finished pallets into the Despatch area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and other departments
  • Provide production with equipment, such as crates, pallets, and boxes
  • Ensure sufficient pallet wrap, straps, and buckles are available
  • Perform barrow duties effectively, efficiently, and safely within the allocated department
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and conduct daily forklift checks as per company policy
  • Report accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences accordingly
  • Ensure the departmental work area is safe for all employees, contractors, or visitors
  • Move finished pallets into the Despatch department and scan against the new location
