Mechanical Engineer for Drilling Operations

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK office. The successful candidate will support our Engineering, Design, and Development department, contributing to the safe and efficient completion of projects.

The Role:
This position will involve advancing and developing existing geotechnical investigation spreads, planning and preparing designs for equipment mobilizations aboard vessels, and implementing planned maintenance systems. The successful candidate will also participate in weekly and operational safety meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing spread and equipment mobilizations aboard vessels.
- Developing technical documentation and specifications for equipment mobilizations aboard vessels.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implementing and promoting the company's high-level HSE rules and requirements.
- Participating in risk assessments and job safety analyses.
Requirements:
- Experience in design engineering, especially in offshore geotechnical drilling, vessels, and/or heavy equipment.
- Preferred degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Relevant work experience in marine oil & gas sector, renewable energies, offshore construction.
- Strong experience using AutoCAD/Solidworks or similar.
- Ability to travel to domestic and international field locations.
- Fluency in English required.
