Moore Barlow is seeking a skilled Financial Administrator to join our finance team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Process receipts, payments, and transfers of client monies
- Process client matter office payments and transfers
- Ensure client ledgers are up to date and accurate
- Review and process invoices on client matters
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Contribute to accurate and timely month-end closure
- Work with the team to ensure adherence to the Solicitor Accounts Rules
- Support the delivery of relevant training to new and existing staff
- Assist with the review and development of relevant training guides and documentation
- Previous experience working within a finance department is essential
- Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) is desirable, although training can be provided
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word with accurate keyboard skills
- Experience of using Elite 3E is advantageous, but not essential
- A good working knowledge of relevant VAT rules is an advantage
