About the Role

Moore Barlow is seeking a skilled Financial Administrator to join our finance team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process receipts, payments, and transfers of client monies
  • Process client matter office payments and transfers
  • Ensure client ledgers are up to date and accurate
  • Review and process invoices on client matters
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Contribute to accurate and timely month-end closure
  • Work with the team to ensure adherence to the Solicitor Accounts Rules
  • Support the delivery of relevant training to new and existing staff
  • Assist with the review and development of relevant training guides and documentation
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a finance department is essential
  • Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) is desirable, although training can be provided
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word with accurate keyboard skills
  • Experience of using Elite 3E is advantageous, but not essential
  • A good working knowledge of relevant VAT rules is an advantage
