Job Title: Health and Safety Compliance Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize risks.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with site teams to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards.
- Develop and implement process training strategies to support health and safety objectives, and maintain skills matrix/training records/refreshers.
- Ensure health and safety KPIs are set, monitored, maintained, and reported to the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments for all sites, including customer site installs, and implement appropriate measures to reduce/remove hazards.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, including regular drills and assessments.
- Communicate health and safety updates effectively to all staff.
- Provide guidance and hands-on training to employees on compliance matters, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Relevant industry health and safety qualifications/accreditations (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH).
- Proven track record in managing site health and safety at a senior level.
- Experience in training management.
- Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- MS Office – proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
