Railway Track Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Railway Track Maintenance Operative in Guildford. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the railway network.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, inspect, and repair the track network to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Work closely with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery
- Follow rules and instructions, and be willing to challenge if you see a situation is unsafe
- Develop your skills and competencies relevant to your team, keeping up to date with new standards, procedures, and instructions
- Team working skills, with the ability to work closely with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work safely and effectively within a team
- Proactive planning, with the ability to be punctual and have equipment ready in preparation for the needs of the team
- Thriving in high-pressure situations, with the ability to work outdoors in all conditions and with situations where trains will be passing close by
- Following rules and instructions, with the ability to understand and respect the rules, but also feel confident to challenge if you see a situation is unsafe
- Willingness to learn, with the ability to consistently develop your skills and competencies relevant to your team
