Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our expanding Quality Assurance (QA) team at IES Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will work with the latest technologies, learn something new every day, and use your initiative to contribute to the growth of automation testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test cases based on project documents, customer demands, and product objectives.
- Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on backend applications/services.
- Responsible for test pipelines and their overall health.
- Collaborate with different teams and products to ensure seamless integration.
- Stay on top of sprint, release, and product goals to ensure timely delivery.
- Create, maintain, and associate manual tests with automation tests for traceability.
- Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to highlight overall testing status and any risks associated with sprint or release goals.
- Build test scenarios and acceptance tests to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Research and implement new test tools, methodologies, and trends to upgrade existing practices and processes.
- Report new defects and update the status of existing logged items based on testing feedback.
- Guide junior team members on the development of test scripts and oversee test automation frameworks.
- Ensure the final quality of production releases.
- Approve release documentation to ensure it accurately describes the completed work for software users.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing.
- Compiled language experience (e.g., C, C++, C#, or Fortran) is desirable.
- Experience in API/Libraries testing is desirable.
- Simulation-based testing experience would be desirable.
- Excellent designing and programming skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology.
- Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools.
- Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
- The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
- A passion for testing, development, and design.
- Ability to take a project leadership role and guide other team members.
