About the Role

As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of our client. Your responsibilities will include managing the sales and purchase ledger, credit control, and preparing financial reports. You will also have management responsibilities, guiding and mentoring junior team members to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales and purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounts
  • Oversee credit control, ensuring timely payment from customers
  • Prepare financial reports, providing insights to inform business decisions
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, developing their skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capability to manage and motivate a team
