About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Shift Leader to join our team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with other Shift Leaders and department managers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the warehouse.
  • Support the Department Manager in personnel management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as required, including moving stock, picking goods, and processing returns.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or operations management role, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
