Critical Care Sister

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Sister to join our team at The Christie NHS FT. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to take on a leadership role, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in our critical care unit.
About the Role:
- This is a senior nursing position, requiring a strong background in critical care and leadership experience.
- You will be responsible for leading a team of registered nurses, nurse associates, and healthcare assistants, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support.
- As a Critical Care Sister, you will work closely with medical staff to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- You will also be involved in education and training, supervising clinical staff and disseminating knowledge and current developments in critical care.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Practice: Ensure that all patients receive high-quality care, tailored to their individual needs.
- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of registered nurses, nurse associates, and healthcare assistants, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Education and Training: Supervise clinical staff, disseminate knowledge and current developments in critical care, and facilitate ongoing education and training.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
- A strong background in critical care and leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
