Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer (Defence Infrastructure) - Contract (Ongoing)

£ per hour (DOE) - Inside IR35

Glasgow - Hybrid (2 days in office per month)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineer to join our client, an international engineering consultancy, on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, setting new benchmarks for safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Lead and justify design changes in high-risk environments, ensuring safety and reliability.
  • Create and manage documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Civil Engineering.
  • Basic health and safety training.
  • Training in nuclear safety case development.
  • A good track record in Civil Engineering, ideally within the UK nuclear industry.
  • Proficient in designing and assessing industrial and maritime structures.
  • Proficient in relevant design software and IT tools.
