Job Overview

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is a leading provider of innovative material handling solutions, with a global presence and a commitment to excellence in engineering and customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our UK engineering team.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

This role is centered around implementing standards, rules, systems, and protocols for control engineering. The successful candidate will have system design engineering skills and technical administrative skills to fulfill the requirements of the position. Key responsibilities include advising on projects in the sales phase, creating detailed designs based on system designs and controls architectures, realizing controls applications, executing pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks, and jointly executing LLC integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Advisory: Advise on projects in the sales phase, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  2. Design Creation: Create detailed designs based on system designs and controls architectures, using the VI work method and Engineering Suite of Tools.
  3. Controls Realization: Realize controls applications and integrate them into (sub)systems based on LLC design and standards.
  4. Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning: Execute pre-commissioning tasks, such as I/O, MRT, and cabinet functionality, and commissioning tasks, such as functionality, capacity, and requirements testing.
  5. LLC Integration: Jointly execute LLC integration, including Area to Area and SCADA integration.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess relevant qualifications and skills, including the ability to develop LLC code in platforms such as Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, and FSC, knowledge of SCADA applications in platforms like WinCC and WebFactory, and experience with safety systems using relevant platforms. You should also have a good understanding of material handling systems, customer processes in relevant market segments, and associated EM components, cabinets, and field wiring.
