Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Logistics Manager to join our team at DHL Germany. As a key member of our Manufacturing Logistics freight sector, you will be responsible for directing daily, weekly, and monthly activities to maximize the performance of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, motivation, training, and development of the workforce to identify and implement action plans to reduce skill gaps.
- Execute against customer requirements, operational performance, and site compliance management, including HSE, Assets, and Site Improvement plans.
- Submit weekly, monthly, and annual business metrics, KPI reporting, and project delivery, as well as facilitate and deliver workforce engagement in collaboration with peer group.
- Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding process, HR, centre payroll processing, engagement activities, employee issues/grievances/appeals, performance and talent management, employee exit/offboarding, and HR policies and governance.
- Manage, develop, and update local operational procedures (SOP) to prevent service failures and improve standards.
- Ensure the ongoing compliance of the safety committee to prevent incidents and accidents that may cause loss.
Requirements:
- Previous management experience in Logistics/Transport operation, within a unionized environment.
- Transport experience within an automotive environment.
- Contract Management experience and experience within Multi-Site operations.
- Previous compliance and understanding within a transport network operation.
