About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a Senior Android Developer, you will be leading a small agile team and be responsible for the development of our new native mobile banking app.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small agile team and be responsible for the development of our new native mobile banking app.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, providing technical guidance and making sure requirements have been defined properly, and be accountable for your team's delivery.
  • Have clear ideas on where improvements can be made and focus on process efficiency and performant teams.
  • Work closely with the Lead engineers, Product Owner, Scrum Master, and SMEs in the platform to achieve positive change and deliver value quicker.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience building mobile apps using Kotlin and the use of Kotlin coroutines. You will also need to have experience leading small teams, mentoring, coaching, and monitoring team performance. In addition, you will need to have good knowledge of Android design patterns and operating systems, and experience using different mobile development frameworks and architectural patterns like MVVM, Clean Architecture.
