An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our team at Transaction Recruitment in Birmingham City Centre. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our finance team with various tasks, including bank reconciliations, purchase order processing, and accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers and departments.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices, prepare and send statements, and manage customer accounts.
  • Process vendor payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
  • Assist with payroll, preparing and processing payroll data as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • A finance degree or studying/qualified AAT.
  • Exposure in transactional finance.
  • Flexible working in a modern environment (2 days in the office).
