French Teacher Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a skilled French Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Rotherham. As a French Teacher, you will have the opportunity to create engaging lessons that ignite a passion for languages among students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging French lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage student participation and foster a love for the French language and culture.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall language curriculum.
  • School Ethos: Support the school's ethos and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a French Teacher, ideally within a UK school setting.
  • Subject Knowledge: Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • DBS: Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
