Role Overview

The Sexual Offence Examiner will be responsible for providing holistic assessments, undertaking forensic examinations, and documenting injuries using a camera system. You will also share information where appropriate, produce individual management plans, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide telephone advice to patients and colleagues
  2. Undertake holistic assessments, including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding
  3. Use a camera system to document injuries
  4. Share information where appropriate
  5. Produce individual management plans
  6. Support continued quality improvement of the service
  7. Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic
  • NMC pin, RGN
  • A minimum of 3 years + Nursing post-qualification experience in acute medical healthcare
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
  • A full UK driving license
