Job Title: Embedded Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Specialist to join our team at JAM Recruitment Ltd.

About the Role:

This is a challenging opportunity for an individual with expertise in developing and modifying software for industrial control systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with PLC/SCADA systems to enhance operational efficiency, as well as knowledge and application of industry standards and safety regulations (IEC 61508, CEFS).

In addition, we require someone with experience with communication protocols, such as Profibus and Modbus, and vast knowledge in power generation or the renewable energy sector.

A strong understanding of DSEAR Requirements within Hazardous Areas (COMPEX 01-04) is also essential.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop and modify software for industrial control systems.
  • Work with PLC/SCADA systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Apply industry standards and safety regulations (IEC 61508, CEFS).
  • Experience with communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus).
  • Vast knowledge in power generation or the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of DSEAR Requirements within Hazardous Areas (COMPEX 01-04).
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in embedded systems, automation, and control. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and hold relevant qualifications.

You should also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £40-£45 per hour (outside IR35), reflecting the importance of the position in contributing to the success of our clients.
