Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Visitor Specialist to join our team in Darlington.

The successful candidate will work within our 0-19 Growing Healthy Service, delivering high-quality care to children, young people, and families across the area.

You will be responsible for promoting health and wellbeing, identifying health needs, and developing programmes to alleviate problems caused by physical, social, and emotional ill health.

Liaising closely with other health professionals and statutory agencies is essential to ensure a cohesive plan of care is delivered.

Main Responsibilities
  • To deliver the commissioned service with a focus on safety and quality.
  • To utilise caseload profiling, identify health needs, and promote programmes for families/populations.
  • To liaise closely with other health professionals, statutory, and voluntary agencies.

The role requires excellent communication skills, passion for public health, organisational skills, flexibility, and ability to travel independently as required.

A robust package of clinical and safeguarding supervision is provided to all staff.

Evidence of continuous on-going professional development is expected.
