Key Responsibilities:- Deliver robust and efficient analytical services within the metals/minerals team, ensuring the provision of relevant and cost-effective services to the food and allied industries.
- Ensure the operation and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including the design and development of methodologies using ICP, HPLC, or LCMS for a range of analyses for food and drink.
- Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group, conducting work in compliance with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures, and instructions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide practical assistance, supporting and/or partaking in the preparation, analysis, and testing of test items, instruments, and samples.
- Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science.
- Good knowledge of food chemistry science or proven senior analyst experience.
- Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES or LCMS, appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
- Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
- Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
