ASD Tutor Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a one-to-one setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide individualised support to children with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
2. Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
3. Work with the child to identify and achieve their learning goals, and provide regular feedback and progress updates.
4. Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to the child's education.
5. Desirable: Experience working with children with challenging behaviour and a willingness to develop and implement strategies to support this.

Requirements:

1. Relevant SEN experience, either as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
2. Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of children with ASD.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and other professionals.
4. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the children and the role.
