MGV Driver

About the Role

As a member of our driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will be spent driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers, Post Offices, and transporting mail between our Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. Part of the role will be loading and unloading your van and sorting it into correct onward distribution. This position requires you to be flexible, work various shifts, and be part of a team to ensure we continue to deliver the high standards of service our customers expect.

About You

We are looking for someone who is upbeat and self-motivated, happy working alone as part of a team. You should have a strong sense of community and be comfortable working in flexible shift patterns. We deliver mail come rain or shine, so we're looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather. The job also involves walking, so it's essential that you're someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit.

Key Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with less than 6 penalty points
• Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC) and a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training
• Ability to present your Digital Tachograph Card
